Textile Problem Waste Drop Off
We accept all textiles, including clothing, linen, blankets, napery, shoes, and handbags (but not anything with filling, i.e., doonas, quilts, or pillows).
There's a three-tiered approach to donations.
First, they REUSE any items in good condition – selling them at Australia’s largest second-hand store (opening in January).
Secondly, they REPURPOSE any items that can be made into cleaning rags – they are Australia’s biggest supplier of cleaning rags to the mining industry.
Thirdly, they RECYCLE any leftover items into acoustic panels and construction materials.
This three-pronged approach ensures no item goes into landfill.
