Nelson Bay Skate Park
Nelson Bay Skate Park is a popular venue and caters for a range of ages and abilities. The skate park is over a large site and was extended in October 2015 to incorporate a bowl and additional ramps and a rail.
This skate park is located on the edge of Neil Carroll Park, an ideal location as it is just a short stroll down from Victoria Parade and Fly Point Beach.
The Nelson Bay Skate Park contains the following components:
- 14 x 26m slab
- 2 x quarter pipes 1.5m high
- 3 x flat banks 1.2m high
- 1 x quarter pipe
- Fun Box:
- 1m spine ramp
- 0.5m transition platform
- 0.5m transition wedge
- 0.7m (high) central slide
- NEW October 2015 - bowl, additional ramps and a rail!
Safety equipment should be worn by all users including:
- helmet;
- elbow and knee pads;
- wrist guards;
- protective clothing.
