Smart Parking

Incorrect expiration emails sent on Tuesday 1 July

We've been made aware that some of our permit holders have recently received an email advising that their permit has expired, seemingly from either Port Stephens or Royal Sydney Botanic Gardens. Please disregard these emails. They were not sent by Port Stephens Council, and we want to assure you that all permits are still valid. Our portal providers have confirmed that all your data is safe and secure. There is no action required from you at this time. We’re still sending out renewal notices in batches. If you've recently received your official renewal email from us and have completed the renewal process, that's great! Otherwise, please continue to wait for your renewal email from Port Stephens Council. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Smart Parking in Port Stephens is designed to improve safety and accessibility, increase parking turnover and most importantly, provide a revenue stream to help fund improvements in and around our town centres.

Park Free Permit Portal

If you're a resident or ratepayer of Port Stephens, or you work at a business in the Nelson Bay or Shoal Bay town centre, you can sign up for a Park Free Permit. You can also update your details via the portal.
