Access over 10,000 items on board with the added benefit of borrowing from the entire Newcastle Region's Library collection. The Port Stephens mobile library visits 13 locations throughout our region and provides a range of services including:

Mobile Library Update - 19 January 2026

Unfortunately, due to an ongoing mechanical issue, the Mobile Library will be off the road from Monday 12 to Friday 16 January 2026. During this time, a team member will visit the following stops in the library car, with location-specific holds, a selection of items for loan, and to receive customers returned items.

Monday 19 January 2026: Tanilba Bay 10:45am to 1:30pm and Salt Ash from 3:15 to 5pm
Tuesday 20 January 2026: Karuah 9 to 11am and Medowie 3 to 5:45pm
Wednesday 21 January 2026: Shoal Bay 9:30 to 11am, and Lemon Tree Passage 3 to 5:30pm
Thursday 22 January 2026: Medowie 9 to 11am and Fingal Bay 2:45 to 4:45pm.
