Shoal Bay art trail

Shoal Bay Art Trail

Discover the beauty of Shoal Bay through a vibrant outdoor art experience that celebrates our local environment.

The Shoal Bay Art Trail features a series of large-scale, hand-painted artworks inspired by the unique flora and fauna of Shoal Bay and the broader Port Stephens region. Each piece highlights native species you might encounter while exploring nearby Tomaree National Park, helping you connect more deeply with the natural world around you.

These artworks don’t just brighten the landscape, they also carry an important message. By showcasing local plants and animals, the trail encourages the community to appreciate, protect and restore native habitats, starting in our own backyards.

Where to start

The trail begins just past the Shoal Bay Boat Ramp and leads you towards Tomaree Headland and the beginning of the Tomaree Coastal Walk. Take a stroll and enjoy a creative journey through one of Port Stephens’ most scenic coastal spots.
