Building digital skills

-

Tech help for seniors. If you have a problem, we can fix it!

Learn new digital skills, get local tech help, create jobs for local youth and share your wisdom with youngsters.

Bring your tech problem to one of the sessions held across Port Stephens at Tomaree Library, Raymond Terrace Library or the Mobile Library at Karuah, Lemon Tree Passage and Medowie.

These sessions are the perfect opportunity to have your technology questions answered – whether it’s help to download and install apps like Service NSW or learning how to chat online with family and friends – the Youngsters can solve almost every general tech problem in the first session.

Rather than the normal planned workshops – these sessions really are aimed at helping with your individual everyday digital and technology problems and are a chance to for our older generation to share their life wisdom with the Youngsters at the same time.

This program is thanks to funding from an Australian Government Be Connected grant and Port Stephens Council is partnering with  Youngster.Co to deliver it.

Book a session by going to Youngster.Co website or by phone: to book at Raymond Terrace Library call 4988 0111; to book at Tomaree Library call 4988 0670.

Opportunities for Youth

Facilitated by Youngster.Co, the program allows for intergenerational engagement with local young people, working together to help our seniors understand their technology. The interaction provides benefits both ways with youth learning valuable life skills including patience and an appreciation for our seniors. With competitive pay, flexible work hours and step-by-step support from Youngster.co, it's a win win!
