We’re partnering with Pointy End Pictures to bring the big screen to Soldiers Point Memorial Hall for a special free movie afternoon on Sunday 10 August.
Pointy End Pictures is the proud recipient of a Vibrant Spaces Fund grant to bring the big screen to Soldier’s Point Hall… and you’re invited to kick back, relax, and enjoy the films with friends and family.
What’s On:
3pm: The Wild Robot (PG)
An intelligent robot is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island. To survive the harsh surroundings, she bonds with the native animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose. Nominated for 3 Oscars and winner of Critics Choice Award for Best Animated Feature.
5:15pm: Phantom of the Open (PG-13)
A British comedy-drama based on the true story of Maurice Flitcroft. An unassuming, but optimistic shipyard worker (Mark Rylance) enters the 1976 British Open despite never having played a round of golf in his life.
