The Run Port Stephens 2025

Run Port Stephens offers something for everyone with a full marathon, half marathon, 10km run and family-friendly fun runs. Set in the heart of Nelson Bay, this event is recognised as one of the most exciting and scenic running courses in New South Wales.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply soaking in the scenery, Run Port Stephens is a fantastic day out for runners, families and supporters. Bring your friends, family and run crew to cheer you on - then take time to relax and enjoy Nelson Bay, proudly awarded Australia’s Top Town of the Year for 2025. Taking part as a runner or just there for the festival-like day out, there’s some details you should know!

Road closures

⚠️ To keep runners and spectators safe, the following temporary road closures will be in place:

From 6am

  • Beach Road (eastbound lane) closed from Dixon Drive to Gowrie Avenue - controlled access to Little Beach boat ramp.
  • Shoulders closed along Sandy Point Road and Corlette Point Road (Pantowara Street to Corlette Point Road).

From 7am: Race Starts (Victoria Parade from Government Road to Beach Road):

  • 7am: Marathon (42.2km) start – 15 min closure
  • 8am: Half Marathon (21.1km) start – 15 min closure
  • 9am: 10km run start – 15 min closure
  • 10:30am: 5km run start – 15 min closure
  • 11am: 2km fun run start – 15 min closure

1pm: Last runner expected and race cut-off time

2pm: Beach Road and Sandy Point/Corlette Point Road reopen
