Dive into the fascinating world of Port Stephen’s most iconic marine life with the Whale and Dolphin Display, presented by Atlantis Port Stephens.
From 20 September to 16 October 2025, the Port Stephens Visitor Information Centre will showcase an inspiring exhibition celebrating the gentle giants that call our waters home.
Discover captivating facts, stunning imagery and hands-on displays that bring our marine life to life, from playful Bottlenose Dolphins and migrating Humpback Whales to rarer visitors like Orcas and Southern Right Whales. Explore incredible skeleton replicas, rare artefacts and interactive exhibits perfect for families, nature lovers and curious minds of all ages, and the best part, it’s FREE!

Whale and dolphin talks: Bookings Essential
Join marine expert Matt from Atlantis Port Stephens for an interactive presentation packed with fascinating insights into the lives of whales and dolphins.
Learn about their anatomy, feeding, communication and migration. Also see a variety of incredible specimens, including skeletons, teeth, and even a life-size model of “Harvey”, the one-year-old humpback in a spyhop pose.
Whether you’re a young ocean enthusiast or simply curious about the marine world, these sessions promise a fun and educational journey into the lives of some of the ocean’s most remarkable creatures.
