Official Launch Day for the 2024 Whale Season
Join Moonshadow-TQC & Imagine Cruises to celebrate the start of the 2024 Whale Season here in Port Stephens. A welcome ceremony involving the Worimi Local Aboriginal Land Council, and Stephen Keogh from Destination Port Stephens will be held prior to everyone departing on our 10am Whale Watching Cruises. On return, join us for post-cruise festivities at Mavericks on the Bay.
Itinerary:
- 9am – Meet at marina
- 9:10am – Opening remarks from Frank Future
- 9:15am – Welcome to Country & Smoking Ceremony by Uncle John & Justin Ridgeway from the Worimi Local Aboriginal Lands Council
- 9:25am – Address from Steve Keogh, CEO of Destination Port Stephens
- 9:35am – Official opening of the 2024 Whale Watching season
- 9:45am – Board vessel
- 10am to 12:30pm – 2.5hr Whale Watching cruise onboard either Moonshadow TQC or Imagine Cruises
- 1pm onwards - Post cruise celebrations at Magnolia Café with Mick Jones providing live entertainment. $5 tap beers on offer (event will be held at Mavericks on the Bay incase of bad weather)
