There are many ways to have your say on issues that affect you. Provide feedback on formal public exhibitions and have your say on community consultation projects below.
At its meeting held on 28 July 2026, Port Stephens Council resolved to place the draft Road Futures Strategy on public exhibition.
The draft Road Futures Strategy will be on exhibition from Tuesday 4 August 2026 to Wednesday 9 September 2026, and will be exhibited at the following locations:
- Council's Administration Building, 116 Adelaide Street, Raymond Terrace (during normal business hours)
- Raymond Terrace Library, 18A Sturgeon Street, Raymond Terrace
- Tomaree Library, 7 Community Close, Salamander Bay

Public Notices
Notice is given that Port Stephens Council intends to treat infestations of aquatic weeds on or in water in the Campvale Drain and portions of the following rivers occurring in the Port Stephens Council Local Government Area:
- Hunter River and tributaries from Raymond Terrace to the confluence of the Paterson River.
- Paterson River and tributaries from the confluence of the Hunter River upstream to the Port Stephens Council boundary.
- Williams River and tributaries upstream from Raymond Terrace to the Port Stephens Council boundary.
Treatment will take place during:
- September and October 2026
- January and February 2027
- April and May 2027
Herbicides containing active ingredient 600g/kg Metsulfuron methyl and/or active ingredient 360g/l glyphosate will be used. Residents in the treatment area should not use, drink, or swim in the water during treatment. Small scale reapplications may occur within 30 days of the date of the original treatment.
