Available year round, the Nelson Bay Scavenger Hunt is a self guided activity designed to encourage kids and families to get outside, explore local landmarks and discover hidden treasures across Nelson Bay.
Hosted by the Port Stephens Visitor Information Centre, the hunt encourages participants to solve a series of clues that lead them through the town centre, answer questions and solve a mystery phrase – all at their own pace.
The scavenger hunt is a great way to engage families in a safe, affordable and entertaining outdoor experience during the winter school holidays. It’s free, it’s flexible and it’s fun!
Participants can pick up their activity sheet from the Port Stephens Visitor Information Centre on Victoria Parade, with the hunt taking place throughout the Nelson Bay town centre.
Those who complete the scavenger hunt and return their sheet to the Visitor Centre will receive a certificate of completion.
As part of the Winter Festival, there will be a special scavenger hunt on Tuesday 15 July between 10am and 2pm… but it’s available all year round if you can’t make this event.
