Taylors Beach Wharf improvements
Port Stephens Council will be undertaking works to improve the safety and functionality of Taylors Beach Wharf from early April to late June, weather permitting. The wharf will be closed during the works.
The improvements will include:
- replacement of the existing wharf;
- the addition of a gangway and floating pontoon;
- reconstruction of the existing rock wall; and
- construction of a connecting footpath.
Although the wharf will be closed, the adjacent boat ramp and car park will remain open. There will be the occasional disruption to the car park area during construction, but this is expected to be minimal. The improvements are estimated to cost approximately $400,000.
