Stoney Ridge Reserve — Hazard Reduction Burn

Port Stephens Council has requested the NSW Rural Fire Service conduct a Hazard Reduction Burn on Stoney Ridge Reserve to reduce the risk of bushfire threat to neighbouring properties from 14 March 2020.

The following streets will be impacted by fire activity, smoke, as well as heavy vehicle and personnel movements:

  • Cromarty Bay Road
  • Upton Avenue
  • Bagnall Avenue
  • Waratah Avenue
  • Ford Street
  • Raymond Avenue

Please ensure windows and doors are kept closed and be aware of any embers generated from this Hazard Reduction Burn around your property.

If you haven’t already, now is a good time to clean out your gutters, remove any rubbish from around your property that could become a fire hazard and update your bushfire survival plan.

Please note that dates may change due to weather conditions and Brigade availability — stay up to date on our Facebook page.
