With the theme Love to Celebrate, NSW Seniors Festival will deliver hundreds of free and heavily discounted events, workshops and performances for seniors across the state, including Port Stephens.

Mayor Ryan Palmer says it’s a great time to celebrate being a senior.

“NSW Seniors Festival is a great opportunity for seniors to get active, socialise, and share their skills and wisdom while connecting with their community,” Mayor Palmer said.

“Our program of events in for 2020 is bigger and better than ever, with a huge 25 events happening across Port Stephens!

“So whether you want to connect with others, find out more about technology, get moving with yoga or aquatic fitness classes, learn some healthy cooking skills, have a singalong or a dance-off — there’s really something for everyone.

“I would encourage all of our seniors to come along to as many events as you can and take full advantage of this amazing festival program,” he said.

“I want to thank all of the local businesses and community organisations who have worked together with Council to pull together this program. A big thank you also to the NSW Government for its support,” he added.
