NSW Government declares lockdown in Port Stephens due to COVID-19
The NSW Government has introduced new restrictions for Port Stephens and the Hunter region from 5pm Thursday 5 August to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
For Port Stephens, this means:
- stay at home unless you have a reasonable excuse
- visitors to your home are not allowed including family and friends, unless it is to provide care or for compassionate reasons
- carry a face mask with you at all times and wear it when required
- check-in using the Service NSW App
- maintain physical distancing of 1.5m
- practise hand hygiene
- get tested when sick, even with the mildest of symptoms — view the locations of COVID-19 testing clinics.
