Themed ‘It’s In Our Nature’, the 2021 NSW Seniors Festival will deliver hundreds of free and heavily discounted events, activities, workshops and performances for seniors across the state, including Port Stephens.

Mayor Ryan Palmer says it’s all about celebrating our incredible seniors.

“During challenging times, it’s in our nature to connect and Port Stephens has had some challenges over the past 12 months.

“From fires and floods to a global pandemic, I know our seniors are ready to come together safely — whether in person or online — to connect and celebrate.

“Our program of events in 2021 is incredible. Whether you love conversation, music, books, movies, learning about culture, craft or getting active — there’s something for everyone to enjoy with a huge 40 events happening across our region.

“We have so many amazing seniors here in Port Stephens and this is an opportunity to celebrate their contribution to our community.

“I encourage everyone to get along to as many events as you can and be part of this wonderful week of celebration and connection,” he said.

“I want to thank all of the local businesses and community organisations who have worked together with Port Stephens Council to pull together this program.

“I also want to thank the NSW Government for its continuing support of the Seniors Festival in Port Stephens,” he added.
