During peak periods, traffic control and parking changes are implemented to make access to Birubi Headland a little easier for everyone.

There is limited parking at Birubi Headland — the top car park has only 50 spaces available and the bottom car park has 100 spaces. Please take the time to plan your trip ahead.

Traffic changes during peak periods

During December and January, parking is not permitted on the eastern side of James Paterson Street from 6am to 6pm.

Traffic Control will operate from 10am to 3pm daily from:

• 26 December 2020 to 3 January 2021
• 22 January 2021 to 26 January 2021

Other beach options

There are plenty of alternative beaches in Port Stephens. Our other patrolled surf beaches include One Mile Beach and Fingal Beach.
