Crafty Connections — preventing social isolation during COVID-19
Over the coming weeks, seniors within our community will receive a special package from local school children as part of an initiative to help combat social isolation caused by COVID-19.
The project has been made possible thanks to the Community Connections program funded by the NSW Government providing connection opportunities for seniors during the global pandemic.
Students from Raymond Terrace, Grahamstown and Irrawang Public Schools helped by creating artwork that illustrates what they are grateful for and what they love about their community. These artworks were printed onto calico bags and are now filled with items from a range of local businesses.
The bags will be distributed to seniors across the community via Integrated Living.
