Project description
The Stronger Country Communities Fund (Round 5) aims to boost the wellbeing of communities in regional areas by providing new or upgraded social and sporting infrastructure, or community programs that have strong local support.
This project will construct a new playground at Korora Oval to replace the existing playground that is no longer fit for purpose. The objective of this project is to enhance the liveability and wellbeing of the sporting community and nearby residents by continuing to enable access to high quality inclusive local playground facilities for all to enjoy.
Works include:
- Construction of a new playground designed for all abilities and a range of ages
- Construction of connecting pathways to new playground to enhance accessibility
- Supply and installation of inclusive seating
Council has a $158,444 budget to deliver the new Korora Oval playground with the project to be completed by 30 June 2024.
