Gerald the Fish

The sculpture by Greg Salter, was a winner of the 2013 Sculptures By The Bay Competition.

Acquired by Council following the competition, the sculpture was restored in a collaborative effort by the artist, Raymond Terrace Men's Shed, Raymond Terrace Tidy Towns and Port Stephens Council. The location was chosen by the project team restoring the fish, who felt the sculpture would add value to a well utilised area of Raymond Terrace. As part of the installation, Council encouraged the community to propose a name for the sculpture. More than 100 entries were submitted, with the name Gerald proposed by 12 year old resident Nic Bourke chosen.
