Birra-li Aboriginal Maternal & Child Health Services

Birra-Li is a service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander pregnant women, babies, children and non-Aboriginal women who are pregnant and having an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander baby. The service provides culturally appropriate support and education during pregnancy, after birth and for children up to early school years including clinic or home immunisations.

Birra-Li's services include child and family primary health care, immunisation, child health checks, support service referrals and health education. The services can be provided to you in your home.

The team includes: Aboriginal Health Education officers, registered midwives, Child and Family Health nurses, Social workers and lactation consultants.

Please contact us if you think you are pregnant or as soon as you have a positive pregnancy test and if you have children between the ages of 0 - 5 years.
