At Council's meeting on 9 April 2024, Council resolved to place the new Draft Integrated Planning and Reporting Documents and Fees and Charges on public exhibition.

The draft Integrated Planning and Reporting Documents and Fees and Charges will be on public exhibition from Wednesday 10 April 2024 to 5pm Tuesday 8 May 2024 at:

  • Council's Administration Building, 116 Adelaide Street, Raymond Terrace (during normal business hours)
  • Raymond Terrace Library, 18A Sturgeon Street Raymond Terrace
  • Tomaree Library, 7 Community Close, Salamander Bay

Public notices

Adoption of Port Stephens Development Control Plan 2014 Chapter B5 Flooding

Notice is given that at its meeting on 9 April 2024 Council resolved to adopt the amendment Port Stephens Development Control Plan 2014 Chapter B5 Flooding (DCP). The amendment seeks to update the DCP to restrict most development in high risk flood areas.

The DCP amendment comes into effect from the date of this notice (2 May 2024).


New ward boundary change from September 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Ward boundaries between West and Central Wards have changed as a result of a Ward boundary review.

The suburb of Boat Harbour has transferred from Central Ward to East Ward, and the area including part of Harvest Road and Waterview Close, Medowie has been transferred from West Ward to Central Ward.

These changes will take effect at the 2024 local government election to be held in September 2024.
