When does Council meet?
The Ordinary Meeting is held on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month commencing at 5.30pm in the Council Chamber at the Administration Building, 116 Adelaide Street, Raymond Terrace. The public are welcome to attend the open session of Council.
The role of the Ordinary Meeting is to consider and make determination on reports before Council along with the General Manager's Reports, Mayoral Minutes, Notices of Motion, Rescission Motions and Confidential items.
The General Manager and Group Managers attend the meeting to advise Councillors where necessary.
The Extract Minutes are a record of the resolutions made by Council, these are prepared directly after the meeting and are uploaded to the Agenda and Minutes section of this website to the website the day following the meeting by 5pm.
Public Access is held at 5.30pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month prior to the Council meeting, in the Council Chambers.
Public Access provides a forum for members of the Public to speak directly to the Mayor and Councillors about local or Council issues.
Public Access sessions are restricted to a total of twelve (12) speakers per month with five minutes per speaker and a limit of two speakers for, and two speakers against any issue.
An application form for public access may be downloaded from this page or is available from the Customer Service Counter or the Mayor's office. The Mayor has delegated authority to approve or refuse applications.
Applications must be received by the Mayor's Office by 12noon on the Monday prior to the Tuesday of the Ordinary Council meeting.

Attachments referred to in the minutes of Council Meetings are not included within the minute document; this is to keep the size of the document to a size that is accessible to all via the website. Attachments are included in the Business Paper Agendas for reference, these are provided for the last 12 months only.
A full hardcopy of the minutes are held and available for public viewing at the Council's Administration Building, inspections can be made by appointment only by contacting the Executive Assistant Councillor Support on (02) 4980 0245.

The minutes downloadable below are a full text softcopy of the minutes. Hardcopy of the minutes are held and available for public viewing at the Council's Administration Building, inspections by appointment only.
