Project Background:
Tanilba Road is urban road in residential area, lacking formal stormwater drainage network. It is also a bus route, lacking access for pedestrians and disability compliance.
The road pavement pre-existing condition of Tanilba Road was poor, requiring rehabilitation and previously had no existing kerb and guttering or footpath.
Project Aims:
The aim of the project is to improve the condition of the existing road pavement, make the area safer for motorists, bus passengers and pedestrians, as well as to capture stormwater drainage into a new underground drainage network.
Project Scope:
- Introduce new stormwater drainage along with new kerbing along Tanilba Rd between Bay St and Wychewood Ave
- Introduce new kerbing along Mallabula Rd between Wychewood Ave and The Parkway North
- Conduct road widening and road pavement rehabilitation/reconstruction
- Upgrade road seal to asphalt

Asphalt wearing course has now been completed. Linemarking and final areas of turf is all that remains to be completed.
