This week the temporary access track has been removed and scour protection completed. Besides some minor works including fence reinstatement, signage installation and Linemarking, the bulk of this project is now complete.

Project description

Council are pleased to advised that funding is available from the Federal Bridges Renewal Program and NSW State Government Fixing Country Bridges Grant, to allow us to undertake a much needed upgrade of Notts Creek Bridge.

The works include:

  • Construction of temporary side access track
  • Demolish the existing bridge
  • Construct new box culvert bridge (single lane) and associated minor road works
  • Remove the temporary access track once the new bridge is operating

The side access track will have pipes installed in the creek bed with gravel placed over the top providing alternate access. Emergency services, waste services and postal deliveries will remain as normal utilizing the side access track. The access track will be low level in nature.

The project is scheduled to take approximately 10 weeks weather permitting.
