Pavement rehabilitation.
Project Update:
2 August 2023
Final asphalt works will take place on Monday 7 August.
The works are proposed to start in the corner near Macs Track, allowing access for the sand quarry until 12pm. From 12pm onwards Lavis Lane will be closed for the remainder of the day and overnight.
Lavis Lane will reopen to traffic the following day on the 8 August 2023.
Project Background:
New road pavement for approx. 360m stretch of road at the end of Lavis Lane.
Project Aim and Objectives:
Improve the condition of the existing road.
Traffic management will be in place with minor delays at this section of the road throughout the project. The last phase of work will happen during Summer when we complete the final layer of bitumen spray seal to complete this project.
