Educators typically come from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. Some have formal qualifications in Early Childhood, whilst others have experience working with young children. There is a stringent screening and induction process to ensure that Educators have the skills and knowledge to provide a quality service. Educators must have a current Working With Children Check, and a National Criminal Check. They must obtain public liability insurance and have a current first aid qualifications (HLTAID004).

FDC Educators are required to provide and maintain quality child care in a safe, healthy, nurturing, friendly home environment.

This responsibility includes adhering to the:

  • National Quality Standards
  • Family Assistance Law
  • Work Health and Safety legislation
  • Service policies & procedures

Educators are classified as self employed and are required to comply with all administration and business requirements as a small business operator.
