SeaSide Singers Community Choir

The SeaSide Singers is a non-profit community choir consisting of approximately 45 members from Anna Bay, Corlette, Soldiers Point and Salamander Bay, with ages ranging from mid-thirties to late seventies. The group meet every Tuesday evening from 7 - 9pm at the Community Centre, Salamander Bay. The choir is in demand and performs at a variety of festivals, events and civic occasions.

The founders are Diana Souter, graduate of the London College of Music, and her husband, Ronald Souter, a retired Accountant and singer.

SeaSide Singers is an incorporated association and is governed by a management committee of six, each with expertise in their allocated areas of responsibility. The committee meets monthly to oversee the activities, policies and expenditure of the choir.

The activities fostered within the choir setting allow members to sing, to learn music and to perform solos or sing in a small group ensemble. They also enjoy social outings and have lots of fun.

SeaSide Singers aim is to have a viable substantial choir of sufficient numbers to produce high quality singing that the community supports and is proud of. In order to progress, choral workshops conducted by eminent musicians are offered to members and other choirs each year, along with a variety concert that showcases local talent.

SeaSide Singers are a member of Australian Performing Arts Association & Australian National Choir Association.
