The Creative Institute of the Arts develops creative leaders who shape the form, function and ceremony of their culture. The Institute is a laboratory for innovation and a centre of international dialogue in design and visual communications. The Creative Institute of the Arts' mission is to educate designers and artists so that they can advance the world of material and visual culture with thoughtfulness, conscience, vision and accomplishment. The Institute serves as an advocate for the relevance and importance of the visual arts for the well being of the global community.
The Institute is involved in all aspects of fine arts training for all ages. They use trained art teachers and exhibiting artists as teachers and to give their students a studio experience. They invite schools and after school care programs to visit the school for classes. They offer professional assistance with HSC Art Major Works and preparation of a portfolio of works for entrance to university and TAFE art courses.
The Institute has links with Hollywood film industry and a leading USA Art School to provide international skills training for Australian art students. It also has an Art in Motion program and uses Animation programs for junior art students. They are proud of their history of working with individuals who are experiencing difficult times and helping them to develop new strategies for dealing with life issues.
