Before you start this form please be aware of the following:
◼ REGISTER YOUR POOL: Ensure you have registered your pool or spa on the NSW Swimming Pool Register. Please make note of the register number, you will be asked to provide this on the form. If you are unable to locate this number, please advise us on your form.
◼ CONDUCT A SELF ASSESSMENT: Council encourages applicants to complete a self-assessment of the pool/ spa area prior to inspection. The NSW Swimming Pool Register have self-assessment checklists available via NSW Swimming Pool Register. Please note these checklists are a guide only to assist in identifying common areas of non-compliance. The inspecting officer will complete a more comprehensive and technical inspection guided by by Swimming Pools Act 1992, The Swimming Pools Regulations 2018, the Building Code of Australia and the relevant Australian Swimming Pool Standard (AS1926).
◼ ACCESS REQUIRED: An owner or occupant does not have to be on site for a Swimming Pool Barrier Inspection however full access to the swimming pool/spa and associated barriers must be made available to Council Inspectors. If windows or doors are used as part of the barrier, access to the house must be given. Any animals are to be restrained away from the vicinity of the swimming pool/spa barrier.
◼ OWNERS CONSENT REQUIRED: Owners' consent must be obtained in order to submit this application. You will be asked to declare consent has been received before continuing.
FEES AND CHARGES
Inspection fees apply and are payable upon submission of this form:
◾ Initial inspection fee $150.00 (Nil GST)
◾ Re-inspection fee $100.00 (Nil GST)
IMPORTANT: If you have more than one pool or spa barrier to assess, or multiple pools/spas or pools in different areas of your property, there will be more than one Inspection fee applicable. For example, if you have one swimming pool in your backyard and a spa in your side yard, two inspections are required. Council will make contact to discuss the fee amount and your Credit Card details to process the payment.

Purpose: The purpose of this form is to obtain owner, applicant and pool details in order to complete an inspection for the purpose of issuing a Certificate of Compliance under Section 22D of the Swimming Pools Act 1992.
Intended recipients: Council staff and third parties as appropriate.
Supply: Involuntary.
Consequence of Non Provision: A Certificate of Compliance or Certificate of Non-Compliance cannot not be issued.
Storage and security: This document will be placed on the relevant file and/or saved in Council’s records management system in accordance with Council policy and relevant legislation.
