Sail Port Stephens returns in 2026 as Australia’s largest sailing regatta, with more than 300 boats and thousands of sailors, spectators and supporters expected to visit the region.
Running from 13 April to 3 May 2026, the three-week festival will feature three major regattas. For the first time, Nelson Bay will be activated across the full three-week period, creating a vibrant regatta village for the community and visitors to enjoy. There will be daily entertainment, markets and sailing presentations in the Regatta Village at d’Albora Marina Nelson Bay.
The festival is family-friendly, free to spectate, and incredible to watch from the shore or out on the water, making it one of our region's premier sporting and tourism events.
Port Stephens Council has proudly supported the event since its inception and is again an Event Sponsor in 2026.
