Port Stephens Council is trialing an online hub for businesses in Port Stephens to come together to network, share ideas, challenges and advice.

Using Council's engagement platform, the BizLink Hub is now an online space for businesses to converse through forums. Businesses simply need to register as users to the platform to get involved in the conversation.

Council's Economic Development and Tourism Coordinator, Janelle Gardner, explains how the BizLink Hub came about, "We understand that businesses in our local region are exceptionally busy running their business and often just don’t have the time to attend meetings and networking events. This online platform enables them to network and connect with other businesses, share ideas and discuss issues in a very accessible way."

"The BizLink Hub is also a great communication channel for businesses to engage directly with Council. My team regularly checks and moderates the platform so if you have any bright ideas that would make doing business easier in Port Stephens, let us know."

"We don't want to miss out on what the business community is really in need of, and we also want to offer them a way to share ideas, advice, knowledge and business contacts with one another," she added.

The BizLink Hub is being heavily implemented in Raymond Terrace as a trial run, and depending on engagement levels will be rolled out to other business communities in the Port Stephens region.
