Flooding at Woodville

Flood Prone Land

Last modified: August 4, 2009 - 2:44 PM

The Port Stephens Local Environmental Plan 2000 (LEP) includes provisions relating to flood prone land within the Local Government Area.

These provisions affect the development of areas identified as flood prone land on Council's mapping system.

The aim of these provisions is to minimise the risk to human life and damage to property which may be caused by flooding.

The relevant provisions relating to flood prone land in the LEP are Part 3 - Special Provisions, Division 1, clause 37 and 38.

Please note the size of the "Flood Prone Land" Maps before downloading.  This may take some time for those users with dial up.
