Rhythm at the Rotunda - Media ReleaseLast modified: October 22, 2008 - 11:42 AM
The Lions Club of Raymond Terrace, with the support of Port Stephens Council will present ‘Rhythm at the Rotunda’ at Riverside Park Raymond Terrace on the first Friday of each month over summer. Rhythm at the Rotunda will see a variety of music styles presented at the newly completed Rotunda from 6pm until 8pm in November, December, February and March. The first show will take place on Friday 7 November and include Jumpin’ Jukebox and the Tomaree Public School Band. Future shows will include jazz music and the popular Bay Singers. Speaking today, Port Stephens Councillor Glenys Francis said the construction of the new Rotunda had made events of this nature a real possibility for the local community. “I believe this type of entertainment at Raymond Terrace is well overdue,” she said. “We have a beautiful park on the banks of the river and during the summer months I can’t think of a better way to spend a Friday evening. Certainly the variety of musicians on show will ensure there is something for everybody.” “We invite families to come down and either bring their own picnic dinner, or enjoy the hospitality of the Lions Club who will be manning a food van on site.”
“I’d like to once again thank the Lions Club of Raymond Terrace for their efforts in ensuring the construction of the rotunda and all the work they have put in to establish this event.” Contact details |
