Family Day Care Receives Thumbs Up - Media ReleaseLast modified: May 2, 2008 - 5:41 PM
Five Star Family Day Care, which is sponsored by Port Stephens Council, has this week been given the highest possible rating by the National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC) The highly successful operation is made up of 49 registered carers and seven coordinators who look after 451 children from 313 families across Port Stephens. Speaking today Family Day Care Coordinator Tracey Sweetman said the accreditation rating was a feather in the cap for the organisation.
“In order to undertake their assessment, NCAC conduct an unannounced and impromptu visit,” she said. “As a result, all of our child care services received a high quality rating across all key benchmark areas.” Tracey added that Port Stephen Council was eager to hear from people interested in becoming a registered carer.
