Port Stephens Holiday parks continue winning streak Media ReleaseLast modified: July 31, 2009 - 1:10 PM
Port Stephens Council owned Soldiers Point and Halifax Holiday Parks were recognised as industry leaders last night at the Caravan and Camping Industry of Australia (CCIA) Awards of Excellence.
Halifax Holiday Park took out the title for Best North Coast Park with more than 100 sites and the winner for Excellence in Environmental Innovation. Soldiers Point Holiday Park was named the Best North Coast Park with less than 100 sites and was awarded the Department of Lands Environmental Excellence Award. Speaking today, Marketing Coordinator Madeleine Koosmen said "Both holiday parks have already been recognised this year with Silver Gumnut awards for excellence in environmental management". "Halifax Holiday Park and Soldiers Point Holiday Park are a finalist in the Mid North Coast Tourism Awards, held in August, so there could be more awards to come." The CCIA Awards of Excellence are designed to encourage professionalism within the camping and caravan industry. An independent panel judged the entrants through both a written submission and an on-site visit. Contact details |
