Council has many community committees who are involved in the care, assistance and management of Council's facilities such as halls and community centres.
The majority of our local halls and community centres are run by volunteers on behalf of Council. You may just want to attend meetings once per quarter or you may wish to get more involved in the day to day running of the hall - such as managing the bookings. Perhaps financial management or committee administration is more your thing? There are also opportunities for volunteers to get involved in promotion of the hall.
Our volunteers do a wonderful job in ensuring that our halls and community centres are run efficiently and meet the needs of locals, community groups, businesses and visitors.
Volunteer committees manage the following Council facilities:
- Anna Bay/Birubi Point Hall
- Bobs Farm Public Hall
- Corlette Hall
- Hinton School of Arts
- Karuah Community Hall
- Lemon Tree Passage Old School Centre
- Mallabula Community Centre
- Medowie Community Centre
- Nelson Bay Community Hall
- Raymond Terrace Senior Citizens Hall
- Salt Ash Community Hall

- Soldiers Point hall

More hall volunteers are desperately needed, so speak to one of our wonderful hall committee volunteers. Their details can be found on our Hall and Community Centre Contacts list.
