You can drop-off your excess waste at Council's waste transfer station at Salamander Bay or the privately owned waste facility in Raymond Terrace.
These facilities also accept most types of waste that should not be placed in your garbage or recycling bins.

A lot of our waste can actually be reused or recycled, for example old furniture and working appliances. These can be dropped off at the Salamander Bay Recycling Centre. By reusing or recycling our waste we reduce the amount going to landfill. Please also consider donating unwanted goods that can be reused to other local charities.
All vehicles entering the site will be weighed in and out and will pay by weight and there is a minimum fee for all vehicles
From 1 July 2014 mulch will no longer be available from this site. Changes to NSW EPA regulations requires specific processing of green waste/mulch before use which Council is unable to carry out on site. For this reason all green waste will be removed to an external licensed facility for treatment.
