Did you know that 96% of the components of a mattress can be recycled through various outlets?

In an effort to help reduce the waste we are sending to landfill, Port Stephens Council recycles all mattresses that are delivered to Salamander Bay Waste Transfer Station, or placed out for collection as part of kerbside collection waste. We also host free Mattress Drop off days across Port Stephens to help capture and recycle this problem waste. If your mattress is in good condition it can be reconditioned and re-sold through some charity outlets.
