Disposing of Electronic Waste
Port Stephens Council provides regular FREE electronic (e-waste) drop-off days and permanent drop off to the residents of Port Stephens for electronic waste. Small portable electrical items are accepted including:
- Computers and computer accessories
- Kitchen appliances
- Power tools
- DVD players
- Mobile phones
- Fax machines
Large white goods will not be accepted, for example fridges and washing machines. Commercial quantities will also not be accepted.
There are below electronic waste collections are upcoming for 2017:
- Saturday 13th May 2017
- Saturday 28th October 2017
These collections will be located in the car park of the Port Stephens Council Admin Building, Adelaide St, Raymond Terrace (entry via Adelaide St / Old Pacific Hwy). The collection will be held between 8.00am and 12pm.
- Saturday 25th November 2017
These collections will be located at the Lemon Tree Passage Waste Transfer Station site, Lemon Tree Passage Road, Lemon Tree Passage. The collection will be held between 8.00am and 12.00pm.
Salamander Bay Waste Transfer Station
Electronic waste can be recycled on a year round basis at Salamander Bay Transfer Station. Residents can bring designated loads of electronic waste for recycling at no cost. Electronic waste mixed with other waste will incur normal gate fee costs.
The Salamander Bay Waste Transfer Station is located at 4 Tarrant Road, Salamander Bay.
