Rate Payment Options

Rates and charges must be paid in full on or before 31 August, or by quarterly instalments. The instalment dates are the same each year and are:

31 August
30 November 
28 February
31 May

Where these dates fall on a weekend the due date will be the following Monday.


There are a number of different ways that rates can be paid and the details for each are outlined below.

Payment Options

This is the automatic transfer of funds from your cheque or savings account to pay your rates.You have the option of fortnightly, quarterly or annual payments.

To register as a Direct Debit customer, download the Direct Debit Request Form and Direct Debit Request Agreement from our A-Z forms page and return the form to Council.

This form can also be obtained by telephoning 02 4980 0393 (during business hours).

Credit cards can not be used for direct debit.

Mail your cheque or money order together with the bottom portion of your notice, payable to:

Please note no receipts will be issued for payments through the mail.

To use BPAY to pay your rates, you will need to:

Contact your participating Bank, Credit Union or Building Society to pay from your cheque or savings account.

Quote Biller Code 4333 and your assessment number.

Credit card payments cannot be made using BPAY.

Credit card payments can be made by telephone (Visa & MasterCard only). To pay your rates via telephone:

Call 1300 BPOINT or 1300 276 468 and quote biller code 4333 and your assessment number.

Payments made using a credit card will incur a fee of up to 1%.

You can pay your rates online from your financial institution account using BPAY. Alternatively, visit www.bpoint.com.au to pay from your Visa or Mastercard.

You can pay your rates in person by presenting your account at any Australia Post Office or Council's Administration Building (during office hours) which is located at:

Payments made using a credit card (Visa & Mastercard only) or paypal will incur a fee of up to 1%. 

Credit card payments cannot be made over the counter at Australia Post.
