Each year, Port Stephens Council provides small grants to assist heritage projects through the Heritage Projects Fund. Council administers this fund with support from the NSW Heritage Office.

The purpose of the fund is to provide financial support for the owners of heritage-listed items and items in conservation areas identified in the Port Stephens Local Environmental Plan 2013. This small grants program encourages conservation works to commercial, residential and other places of heritage value within the Port Stephens Local Government Area. The fund aims to deliver good heritage and urban design management outcomes in the Port Stephens area.

GRANTS AVAILABLE FOR HERITAGE PROJECTS

Port Stephens Council provides small grants to assist heritage projects in the local government area through the Heritage Projects Fund.

The Fund is supported by the NSW Heritage Office with a wide range of projects eligible for funding of up to $2,000. This includes, but is not limited to, heritage assessments, conservation works, repairs, heritage landscape works, and interpretation projects.

The Heritage Projects Fund applications open Thursday 20 June 2019 and close 5pm Thursday 18 July 2019.

Note: Elected council members, council staff and their immediate family (parent, spouse, partner or children) are ineligible to apply for funds.

Note: For the application to be valid, the electronic form must be completed. The hard copies (pdf) are available for reference use only.

Please refer to the grant guidelines for the grant you are applying for, to find the attachments required eg: Public Liability Insurance, Before photo's, site maps etc.

Note: When forwarding your Certificate of Currency, it is essential you reference your applicable grant program, the project title and the organisation you represent.

You will receive a receipt of acknowledgement of your application once you have submitted it. If you have not received notification of your application, it is your responsibility to contact the appropriate officer to ensure your application has been received.
