NAIDOC Week Celebrations

Location:
  • 9am: Flag raising and smoking ceremony at the Council Chambers, Raymond Terrace 
  • 10am: A parade down William St from Council to Riverside Park, Raymond Terrace  
  • 11am: Launch of the 'Rainbow Serpent' sculpture being installed at Riverside Park, Raymond Terrace  
  • 12am-4pm: Celebration and festivities including free rides, entertainment, bush tucker, stalls, activities. - due to adverse weather, the festival component of the day has been relocated to the Murrook Centre, Williamtown.
Cost: Free

The Port Stephens Community is celebrating NAIDOC WEEK with the Aboriginal community.  

NAIDOC is a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and an opportunity to recognise the contributions of Indigenous Australians in various fields.
