Rural Residential Living

Last modified: October 7, 2008 - 12:08 AM

"Rural Residential Living" is a free resource guide that has been developed specifically for those living on rural residential properties.

The Guide brings together in one central location a range of useful information and resources to assist residents enjoy the rural lifestyle they have chosen.

The wide range of content includes keeping chickens and livestock, dealing with neighbour's dogs, storing water, growing your own food, controlling weeds and feral animals, or recreating your own personal patch of the Australian bush. In particular, the Guide aims to assist you in ensuring that these activities complement the natural environment and the community in which you live.

The Resource Guide can be accessed at www.ruralresidentialliving.com.au. A limited number of free CD versions are also available to rural residential residents of Port Stephens, just contact the Environmental Education Officer. A paper version of the Guide are available for viewing at Councils Administration Building in Raymond Terrace and all of Council Libraries.
