Port Stephens Environment Network

Last modified: December 20, 2007 - 9:36 AM

The Port Stephens Environment Network (PSEN) is an email bulletin board to assist in information sharing of community groups and individuals who have an interest in living sustainably and taking care of the Port Stephens Environment.

The aim of the group is to:

  • Promote infromation flow and to support each other
  • Advertise upcoming environmental and volunteering activities
  • Gain increased environmental knowledge.

The network is not limited to Port Stephens residents but is open to anyone interested environmental activities in the Port Stephens region.

To subscribe Send a blank email to: portstephensen-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.au with ‘subscribe’ as the subject.

An automated reply will be sent to you (allow up to 2 hours) asking you to confirm the subscription by replying to the email.  Simply reply to this email, no message is necessary.

You will then be sent a welcome note with a file attached outlining the PSEN and will start receiving messages!

Sending Emails to the Group

If you wish to send emails to the PSEN, the address is portstephensen@yahoogroups.com.au however be mindful that this will go out to a large number of people.

You may like to use the network to advertise upcoming activities or events like working bees, BBQs, meetings, or talks by guest speakers.  However please also use the network to ask questions and share knowledge, ie. Do you want to know the best way to get rid of lantana, or do you have a tip on how to get most out of your worm farm or compost bin?

The network is there for people to share information about taking care of the Port Stephens Environment and living sustainably.

You don’t need to be a ‘hard core greenie’ or even know anything about the environment, you just have to have an interest in learning and sharing information about the world we live in.
