Government Sustainability Rebates NOW AVAILABLE (as at 5/6/08)

Last modified: June 27, 2008 - 8:39 AM

Government Sustainability Rebates are NOW available for a range of initiatives to help you Save Money ($) on your energy and water bills whilst reducing your personal contribution to Climate Change.

Reducing Energy Use is the most sustainable way to save money on your bills,
reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), mitigate climate change, and help build a more resilient energy future

There are many simple things we can all do to reduce our contribution to this global problem, many of which cost nothing, and can in fact save money:

  • Turning off appliances at the wall reduces standby power (10% of home energy use)
  • Take shorter showers
  • Dry washing on the clothes line
  • Walk or ride a bike for short trips
  • Buy local produce (reduce transport fuel)

However, there are now even greater ways to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and SAVE MONEY, with a number of NSW & Federal Government Rebates available.

Government Rebate Programs are only as good as the number of people who take advantage of them
