What is involved in being a Residents Panel Member?
Once a year, Panel Members will be asked to participate by mail or email in a survey on Council's performance and on what is important to the members.
Panel Members will be asked to commit to about two hours a year as a minimum, and may also be asked to participate in up to six other consultations. Who can be a Residents Panel Member?Anyone who is a resident of Port Stephens Local Government Area and who is at least 16 years of age can be a Member of the Residents Panel - Council would like to have a broad spread of ages and locations represented to ensure that the community's voice is heard. Panel Members' details will be kept on a secure database and will not be shared with anyone else. CommunicationCommunication will be predominantly by mail or email. Council undertakes to provide back to each Panel Member feedback on each consultation, and what decisions Council has made as a result of the input of Panel Members.
