Aircraft Noise Exposure Policy

Guidelines for the assessment of development applications based upon the ANEF (Australian Noise Exposure Forecast) contours and the Australian Standard AS 2021-2000 are outlined in Chapter B2 of the Port Stephens Development Control Plan 2007 (DCP 2007).
The policy sets out principles that are to be followed in the assessment of affected Development Applications.
A table within the document indicates Council's policy position with respect to different types of development, and their acceptability based on ANEF zones.
It specifies the detail required to be submitted with development applications for those uses.
